This year we are running the second Awakening Baltics DTS and here are some inside looks at how the first one went. Check it out!
One of the first things we did was NIKO, 5 days team building camp. We can’t actually talk much about it, but it was terrific.
We participated in the Awakening Europe event in Riga, helping with street evangelism and also in the organization of the event in the Arena Riga that gathered around seven thousand people every day. A great experience for the students to get to know more people, enjoy good time worshiping God and spreading the gospel in Latvia.
Well, this DTS is mobile, which means we do a lot of traveling through the Baltic countries. I dare to say that we watched pretty much all of the movies from the Lux Express bus catalog.
The lectures happened in seven different locations (included forest), with different teachers from all around the world, sharing their knowledge and experiences with the students.
During the traveling we also had the opportunity to explore the cities on our days off, going to touristic places and taking awesome pictures. We visited amazing places and met amazing people. Each city was a different experience with new adventures.
We also stayed in some awesome hostels, sharing a community lifestyle. The friendships made during the DTS are lifelong.
We had a good time worshiping God with our talents through songs, poems, and many other creative ways. It was a good way to start our days before the lectures.
We also participated in other events. In Tallinn, we were at the Bible Days, helping in the organization, leading small groups and enjoying the event as well.
We interceded for different subjects. Sometimes going out and praying for the city, singing and declaring Gods words.
And of course, we celebrated a lot with food, going out and having amazing meals, hanging out together and having a good time. Lots of good stuff!
The students had a lot of fun too, spending time together by discovering the cities. There was a lot of fun moments that became good memories.
We could tell you many other things that we had during this last Awakening Baltics DTS. All the fun moments we had together, the amazing things we learned and the cool experiences the students had.
